Hip-hop icon DJ Unk, behind standout 2006 hits “Walk It Out” and “2 Step,” sadly passed away this week, per Friday tributes from family and associates.
DJ Unk, the Atlanta rapper who had a Top 10 pop single with "Walk It Out" in 2006 and followed with the R&B hit "2 Step," died January 24 at 42, his wife said.
Considered a pioneer in the snap music/ringtone era scene of the early aughts, Unk was known for party anthems like “Walk It Out” and “2 Step.”
